Hard to say...there is so much variance in people once you get to know them. Also it's just a fact that the Asian school systems are more focused on math, so it's hard to separate 'culture' from what you get by being in school a lot, whether you're western or Asian.
Did you notice differences in mathematical reasoning and when people employed it? I think there is often an avoidance inn the west.
