I think that we really care a lot about the nature of the new medium that we are (intentionally and unintentionally) inventing. The way we care and what that care drives us to do is it's so hard to put into words. And the waters continue to rise...
Every human has his own unique style. Each LLM has a unique style too. Pangram knows the styles for all the top LLMs, so when it detects something that sounds like ChatGPT/Claude/Grok/etc, it calls that "AI", even if it sounds like a regular human. That's why it's hard to fool: you'd have to use a chatbot that Pangram doesn't know about

Why do ais write in a different style from humans if they were trained on human writing?
