Megadosing Vitamin D ?

Many studies indicate that low Vitamin D levels are generally associated with poor health. When doctors test for Vitamin D levels in patients admitted for everything from COVID-19 infection to myocardial infarction, the results almost always show significantly lower levels that the rest of the population. Whether that justifies taking additional Vitamin D supplements is an open question, but mainstream doctors are generally agreed that you shouldn’t overdo it. Harvard Medical School and others say 1,000 IUs is plenty and anything above 4,000 IUs per day is dangerous. I know people who routinely take double that without ill effects, but whatever…I’m not about to push it.
