re: neurofeedback, I don't have (much) direct experience, and what I've heard from others didn't get me terribly excited. But it's a good question and I'll ask around.
Have you looked at neurofeedback devices?
Sorry, maybe this should be a note or a chat, but I can't figure out how to do that. Or is it that you have not enabled reader initiated chats?
